The original idea for NFF communities came from Pagan Festivals because of the joy, the sense of tolerance and freedom, the love of Mother Earth, the simplicity and finnancial freedom of lilving in tents (at least in warm weather), etc.
Since then, it has come to mind that many people would not want such a radical change from living in a house, apartment house, or simolar conventional firtst world accommodation. And, for those who can afford it, these places can be great by NFF standards.
For those who cannot afford such living, Habitat for Humanitym provides options. So do the dwellings of indiginous people all over the world.
