MAYDAYS
NFF needs to become able to offer immediate and
expert assistance after many forms of disasters. Some, but not
all, examples are
Hurricanes
Tsunamis
Earthquakes
Floods
Wild Fires
Epidemics
Civil war
Being free and independent of any government burocracy,
NFF can start preparations while a crisis is developing
and respond as soon as conditions are reasonably
safe.
The definition of "reasonably safe" is open to
interpretation. Various operatiions would include para-
chuting, SCUBA diving, etc. Membership would be
strictly voluntary.
Not only would such "Mayday" work bring fast
assistance to people in dire eed, but it would
add greatly to the public image of NFF.
