Support Groups

Support groups have changed and saved my life and the
lives of millions of others all over the world.
They are run by people who have "been there, done that."
They are non-profit, non-professional, and non-judgemental.
There is empathy but not sympathy.

Perhaps the best-known example is Alcoholics Anonymous
(AA). The Preamble says, Alcoholics Anonymous is a
fellowship of men and women who share their experience,
strength, and hope with each other....The only requirement for
membership is a desire to" transform yourself.

If there is no in-person support group within an
affordable distance from you, then YOU should
consider starting a group. For some suggestions,
