INTRODUCTION
Personally, I made changes.
I am a Yale graduate who became a homeless alcoholic.
Many people helped me change, and eventually I got
sober. I later earned a master's degree. I had
throat cancer 19 years ago, and I'm now "cured." I
had cancer of the lymph system (lymphoma)last year,
and I'm now in remission. I've been hopeless and
helpless and now have joy.
IF I CAN CHANGE, YOU CAN CHANGE !
The individual changes that can save us can also save
our nation and the earth. As Gandhi said, "Be the
change you want to see the world make." Many people
have survived bankruptcy, mortgage
foreclosure, and then have lives better that before.
Nationally, we can LIVE SIMPLY, save, and ease our
FINANCIAL PROBLEMS.
Globally, we can COOL MOTHER EARTH and stop GLOBAL
WARMING.
CHANGE IS POSSIBLE
You can start changing just with the intention to
change.(See http://theintentionexperiment.com/ .) You
can read this site, join the Discussion
Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewFreedomFellowship/ )
form or join a New Freedom Fellowship (NFF) supoort
group.
You do not have to start big. If you live in an
apartment, you can buy camping gear and learn to use
it. If you live in a house, you can buy a solar panel
or wnd generator to use while camping or in
emergencies. (When Hurricane Charlie destroyed our
home, my wife and I moved onto our boat, and a solar
panel provided ample electricity.)
If you are about to
lose or have already lost your
home through mortgage forclosure,
think about a NFF Community.
JOY TO YOU
Joy and the anticipation of joy are what keeps me
coming
back to the idea of the New Freedom Fellowship. I think
it will work the same for you, especially if you modify
it to suit you, your personality, and your spirit.
Joy affects individuals all the way down to the DNA
level.
Joy also is vital to the life of communities,
civilizations, and the Planet Earth.
The main requirements are have joy for yourself,
bring joy to others, and follow the Wiccan Reed: "An
ye harm none, do as ye will."
Many groups, nations, including the U. S., and the
world are facing major problems. These include but are
not limited to: GOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE
CHANGE, THE COSTS OF FOOD AND FUEL,
major credit problems, health care, recession,
unemployment, violence, and terrorism.
.
Change and transformation are possible, especially if
they are fueld by grass-roots determination and urgency.
A paradigm shift in our beliefs of how the world and the
Universe work must come.
The outrageous appetites of many individuals and
corporations need to be replaced with moderation and
concern for all of life, not just the lives of those in
our immediate circles.
And the sooner, the quicker.
Our lives are at stake.
The end result can be life, joy, and serenity.
Namaste,
Bill Clift
